Q: I already have wireless in my hotel but it does not cover all of the rooms, why is this?

 

A: Wireless (or Wi-Fi) transmitters come in all different shapes and sizes - and most high-street wireless routers are designed home use and so have insufficent wireless range. That's why we use one or more high-powered transmitters to ensure that we can cover all rooms in your hotel.

 

Q: Do you need to route cables in my hotel to install wireless?

 

A: In most cases, no. We use special 'repeating' wireless range expanders which carry a wireless network without the use of wires. In some rare cases with some unusually shaped hotels, or hotels with solid stone walls, then we may need to discreatly run a small cable between wireless transmitters to ensure a consistant strength of signal throught the building..

 

Q: Are there any on-going costs?

 

A: No, once the system is installed there's nothing else to pay.

 

Q: Can I charge for access?

 

A: Yes, you have the choice to either charge for access or not.

 

Q: Is it secure?

 

A: Yes, we use WPA wireless encryption, which is the strongest wireless encryption system available.

 

Q: Why is your wi-fi installation service so much cheaper than other installation services available?

 

A: For a couple of reasons. Firstly, by teaming up with Yes! Hotels, we are able to do lots of similar installations, making easy installation take less time, and allowing us to order equipment in larger quantities. Secondly, advances in Wi-Fi technology has meant that the more powerful "N" transmitters are affordable, which cover 5X the range of older transmitters meaning that less equipment is needed.

 

Q: Do I need to have an existing internet connection?

 

A: Yes, however we can arrange for a broadband internet connection to be installed if you do not have a current internet connection from just £5.99 per month.

 

Q: Will I need to change my internet provider.

 

A: No, our service works with all UK broadband providers.
